Scarcity vs. Abundance
The Mindset Shift
As I sat under the sound of Natalie Grant’s voice recently while she spoke and sang, the word spellbound came to mind. I haven’t felt this way in a long time, so engrossed by what was shared that I didn’t notice anything else happening at the time. I soaked up every word as she shared this gift with our staff.
When she stepped onto the stage, Natalie had a humble confidence. She invited us to lean in and listen closely. Her laugh created instant hospitality. As she began to share pieces of her story, her authenticity was felt. It was undeniable: she’d experienced every moment of pain and realness before “making it” as a musician.
What she shared both encouraged and mesmerized me, so I couldn’t help but share:
1️⃣ Build Meaningful Connections
Remove a scarcity mindset and don’t use people for the benefits they bring
Have an abundance mentality through generosity: caring, helping, serving
2️⃣ Have Relationship Loyalty
Build on meaningful connections
Be honest and vulnerable
3️⃣ Don’t Lose Wonder
Renew mindset: get to vs. have to
Create a life you are even jealous of!
